A challenging 126 kilometre ride starting in Sheffield, Tasmania and arriving at Dove Lake, Cradle Mountain, then returning to Sheffield. Nic's Cradle Challenge is in memory of Nic Easton who died on 1 January 2014 of respiratory failure as a result of treatment he was receiving for Leukaemia. Nic and his father first rode to Cradle Mountain in 2010 and again in 2011. Established in 2014, this annual ride will challenge the best of you!
There are two rides of varied length and difficulty, which should cater to all, though all climb up to Dove Lake, nestled below Cradle Mountain.
An eight-week training plan to prepare for the ride is available (right-click, save as on the PDF icon above)
