Re: Vestibular Dizziness (Sea Sick) w/ newer films
Here is a frame grab from the new wider FOV lens we are using for 2021, we have some rides from this now going into beta, I think it really helps, we now have about 40% more vision or 20% extra looking into a corner, its also much more stable. https://scontent-bru2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.6435-9/1846338...

Re: Vestibular Dizziness (Sea Sick) w/ newer films
We just did our first film of the year last Wednesday (130km onlong some Ardennes rivers) with another fairly big upgrade to Bertha & I think we have corner based motion sickness solved. At least the lean is less & you can now see where your going into the corner a lot better as we now have ...

Re: Vestibular Dizziness (Sea Sick) w/ newer films
Amalfi Coast was filmed back in 2016 its not so new, you just suffer with motion sickness a bit, the lean into the corners is fairly popular so I don't think we will take it away, but we are going this year with a wider angle of view & the lean should be a little less pronounced, the wider view ...

Re: Garmin Connect Merge Experience
Just thought I'd add that my Garmin merge has now been stable for about 10 days. Anecdotally it looks like they got things ironed out. Still, Really bad form on Garmin's part to do this; during winter indoor training season, during Christmas and without proper QA. I finally talked with Tacx last we...

They should have done this update next summer so they could iron out the issues with the minimum of hassle.

Re: Where is TDA going?
Tacx have just put a few films online finally, its a old selection with some older rides I made ready for the last lockdown, the MTB one is the best filmed last year next to lake Como, its really scenic. Film wise they will probably start publishing again now, they have loads sitting there...As for...

Re: Where is TDA going?
We have just returned from a 8000km filming trip over 3 weeks, including some of the very best of this years Giro (kind of a secret but the numbers reading this are small enough & Garmin Italy have been advertising it a bit...plus anyone watching the Giro for real will have seen me & Bertha)...

Re: Download location Files
The windows version got file managment , I think mainly because of the testing the rides before publishing. I could not get them to add it for Mac sadly, I would have loved it as we have all the 4k content here, it would have been jaw on the floor nice on my imac display.

Re: TDA with non Tacx trainers
Hi TDA now works with Kickr inclusive the Climb via ANT-FEC. I've tested it yesterday with the "Grosse Scheidegg" demo. Tacx says it should work with all other non Tacx trainers too (see https://www.facebook.com/groups/295726197608419/permalink/921006331747066/?comment_id=927478074433225)...

Re: 4K Films ?
just back from some filming in Netherlands, I hope one day they will see the light, they have it all there, there is a 4K option in RLV Beta since the start of TDA development & for a year or so we were able to ride with very high bitrate 4K.. I would say the HD you have in TDA is about 1/4 the ...

Re: 4K Films ?
Agree about TACX quality. The shooting, editing and data/commentary are better than others I've seen. It's too bad it gets grunged in the last link. I'd definitely be willing to pay a bit extra per download to get a better file. In our new living room we've a Sony 65A8G OLED. Great image and fast p...

Re: 4K Films ?
For me its like the quality is there & it could be available for those with the right hardware (modern gaming PC or recent imac) linked to a UHD TV. Its not a money making product for Garmin for sure but it would sure help neutralise those that say Tacx quality is poor.. Its just a shame really ...

Mike that hits the nail on the head! The quality is there, we upload to the server files in 4K that many of the RLV Beta team were completely hooked on, really there must be well over 150 rides in 4K on their server right now... Just charge what ever it takes to make delivering it profitable. It wo...

Re: 4K Films ?
About the only time I notice differences in 4K and HD is when I go into a Costco or other electronics store and look at 80" monitors on the wall that are being fed by special high-bit rate video sources. As soon as I compare more ordinary video sources, the differences get way less. And when t...

Thanks. Agree on the quality diffs vs file size for 4k vs 1080P. I think it might be worth it though... For some of us anyway. Similar to you I've a 52" 4K HDR so it is somewhat noticeable/appreciated. I'd downloaded a couple of 4K films prior and enjoyed them. I think perhaps they'd need to b...

well over 100 of the rides are available in 4K but only in Beta or at least they were until recently when they switched to the streaming server. All the redacted new content is now uploaded in 4K. As Mike said its the bitrate that really matters or you just have sharp looking compression artifacts. ...

A tts1 .tts file should import into TTS4 (import trainings tts file) then go to the video tab after locating your ride on the left (Videos?) click the video tab on your ride & then you will be asked to locate the avi file. You dont need to do anything else.
