Custom movie/film during workout

Before the late december update I could get a custom movie to play in the background while performing a workout.
Now I can still go to the 'Browse for Video' page where to select a movie but when selected there is no 'Confirm' button anymore to go back to the ' Start Workout' window.
I have to exit the 'Browse for Video' with ESC and then there is no longer a movie selected.

Anyone else noticed this issue or has a solution in case I am doing something wrong?

Not sure I fully understand the issue, but if you are running TDA with Full Screen mode on, try turning it off in Settings - General, which will put TDA into Windows mode.

Running in Full Screen or not does not influence the issue, the whole window is visible but the 'Confirm' button is not present in the window.
I double checked this by 'Tabbing' forward and backward through the selections in this window and there is no 'empty(unvisible) selection'!
Hope you understand what I mean.

I guess I don't understand. You referred to a "custom" movie and do not know what that means. Can you post a screen shot? You are referring to Windows TDA?

As far as I understand @Verhoek, he just want to see a video during his workout. This video is just any video and runs in background without beeing tied to the activity.
For example: the video shows him and his family during last summervacations...

That's what I originally thought, which is why I suggested running TDA in Windows mode. However, he referred to some kind of confirm button, so it is kind of a mystery to me.

@mcorn, did you try to reproduce what I described?
English is not my native language so my bad probably.

TDA has the option to select a video to play during the workout.
The workout screen becomes transparent then, to make it clear: TDA plays movie and workout screen simultaniously.
That's what I meant with background!

But in the browse for video selection window where you can choose between: no video/TDA movie/custom movie there is no longer a 'confirm' button to get back to the workout start screen.
This workout start screen has a button 'Start Workout' next to this Start is an upright arrow where you can select to Browse for video.

Hope this helps making it clear.......

Yes you do make it clear. Sorry for being so thick-headed. This is a function I have never used and did not realize it even existed. And like you, I could not get it to work. I will take you at your word that it used to work. So, I think this is a bug and you should report it to support. Here is a US link, but you may need to use one for your country:

I have the same issue - support call raised with Tacx/Garmin about a week ago - already met with the normal request to provide all the details already provided in the original fault report.

Getting a bit fed up of their (Tacx/Garmin) quality tbh - they have found time to change the word 'Film' to 'Movie' but not to implement heart rate in %MHR (instead of BPM), the workouts now default to those created by Tacx not 'Self', and a bunch of other usability things

Agreed, if they just confirmed that something went wrong during software adjustment and tell us that they are working on it!
Now they only frustrate support communication with useless questions.
Hope they fix it in next update, because I used it regularly.

Got a confirmation email yesterday acknowledging the issue. No timeline for a fix however

Yesterday the TDA was updated on Windows, full of expectations I tried to see if the issue with the 'Custom movie during Workout' was working.
But unfortunally it is still the same, no 'Confirm' button in the Popup.

Hi,
Looks like v1.19.2 ( I downloaded it on 21 March) *may* have fixed the issue.

The ‘Confirm’ button now appears and the selected film begins to play when you start a workout.

I gave it a test on my desktop in Demo mode and the selected downloaded film played fine for me. I tried it twice with both a TDA downloaded cycling film and one of my own mp4 files.

Agree, noticed today that the Confirm button has returned.
Update was dated march 18th.
