Hi ,

The last 2 weeks my TTS 4.2x software behaves very strange.

In a flat course wit 30 km/h it normally says that i have an average of 166 or 167 WATT.
The last to weeks it says that with an average of 181 WATT it gives a speeds average of 30.3 (on the same flat track)

I was wondering.
Am i the only one with this strange behaviour of TTS 4 ??

I include a screenshot of the training session here

Thanks in advance

Which trainer (brake) are you using. It might have a problem. Any chance that you have changed any settings, such as body and bike weight. For a flat course, there seem to be quite a few changes in power during the ride. Are these small hills?

Michael,

Thanks for your reply.
No nothing changed. I have this power break since 2012 (when i bought the Tacx Fortius)
Nothing has been changed in the settings and there were no hills.
0.3% in my opinion is not really a hill .

I was an early user of the Fortius trainer. It had lots of problems. You are lucky it is still working.

Looks like your wattage varies between 90 and 300 while your cadence is fairly constant, which seems like a lot for a flat course.

One problem that the Fortius had was with the urethane roller. The stainless steel band that is over the urethane roller can loose as the urethane material can shrink over time. People did have various homemade fixes.

Here's a link to the same issue I was describing on a later model Tacx Genius trainer:

Without looking carefully, I can't really diagnose your problem. Be sure the roller and tire are clean. The Fortius is not that accurate of a trainer, so don't expect too much from it.

Hi Michael.

Thanks again.
And thanks for the link too.

I will inspect everything and clean it.

p.s. The 'alzheimer' behaviour begin from one day to another.

Everything was ok and 1 training later this issue appeared

Regards, Richard
