Hi,
I dug up my old imagic trainer and would like to run it on current training software
I have no any software with my imagic hardware, no CD, no any codes (if needed)
- only complete hardware T1901. This is green control box.
Is it possible to activate any imagic trainer software to run this trainer
with modern training software on a modern PC?

I would suggest you read the posts on this forum on the Imagic:

Hi mcorn,
I've found software to download in the link you've mentioned.
Downloaded, launched on an old PC 32-bit machine with Vista and... it works!!! Yeah!!!
My old unused for years iMagic hardware works pretty well with old unused laptop :)
Great!!! Thanks a lot :)
I have only one problem with steereng calibration.
Simply steering interface is far too sensitive :(
It is impossible to turn on steering option, because very small left-right bicycle handlebar's turns
makes huge virtual turns and it is very unconvenient to use this option (steering).
Maybe you know how to solve this problem?

Which software are you using? I don't recall if there was a way to adjust steering sensitivity, but I remember that steering was pretty crude. You generally steer by doing very small turn inputs and then returning to the neutral position. it's been a while since I used the steerer, which was mostly a gimmick and worked more as a convenient way to support the fork than anything else.

One thing to keep in mind is a steering accessory that works by turning the handlebars will never duplicate the feeling of steering on a bike on the road. Except at very low speeds, you steer a bike predominantly by leaning, not by turning the handlebars like a steering wheel on a car. Most users I knew got bored with the steering accessory fairly quickly. It was interesting novelty at first, but that was about it.

Hi Mike,
I remember, when I used i-magic several years ago steering interface worked perfect.
I mean, it was easy to calibrate it and animate turns were adequate to real handle bar turns.
I used in those times terrain called "Capricorn".
Fortius which I downloaded now from your link is similiar but a little bit different.
Generally I'm very happy that this software works well with my i-magic hardware :)
I ask about steereng option, because I thought it is known problem or it is easy to fix it.
On the other hand - I completely agree with you!
Steering option in i-magic is quite different than turns in real world ;)
but it is really funny and neccessary if you want to penetrate terrain and create your own trails.
If it is possible maybe it is easy way to fix this "oversteering" feature.
Another question, maybe you know where can I download an oldschool Tacx "Capricorn terrain"?
Maybe it will also work with my hardware again? ;)
Yours
Chris

To be honest, I can't remember which software had the Capricorn terrain.

Hi Mike,
"Capricorn" terrain was included in original (one of the first?) issue of Tacx i-magic :)
I think it was before Fortius software (and hardware) was launched.
I remember when I used my i-magic there was real motion video option announced as a future feature ;)
Maybe someone will help download this vintage software?
Never mind :)

I found that it is possible to run Zwift with FortiusANT software!!!
Now I am focused how to run Tacx i-magic on my 32-bit old laptop.
I have Vista Home, but there appeared problem with KERNEL32.dll library in system files :(
So Tacx Fortius software with Tacx i-magic (green, 32-bit) works perfect,
but now there is a problem to run FortiusANT software by Wouter: https://github.com/WouterJD/FortiusANT/wiki
Great idea but I still have to solve problem mentioned above to achive real Tacx i-magic <-> Zwift connection!
Maybe someone on forum knows how to solve KERNEL32.dll problem?
Or better is to install Win7 32-bit? /Fujitsu-Simens laptop with Intel T2130, 1GB RAM/

The software you are referring to does predate the Fortius software. It is called the Tacx I-Magic software (it was often referred to as the "Green" software). There was also an additional VR terrain for that software called Sipscape that you could add. They also had a separate program called Catalyst that went with it. Not sure where you can download these.
